In just a couple of weeks, this account is going to be 16 years old. That's older than most of the crap I have to my name. I started this back when I was in my early twenties, and now middle age is creeping up on me. Yikes. For many years, I have maintained this as more of my "fine art" account, where I put my little paintings of wildlife and portrait studies and stuff. However, I have a whole other presence online that I'm far more active with, and I'd like to talk about that.
I consider myself a cartoonist more than anything else. Zip LeQuick is the more centralized brand name under which I post cartooning stuff on most of the major social medias. You can find my Zip account here on dA at
. Outside of dA,
@ziplequick on Instagram is where I'm the most active. I'm not too good at Tumblring... Tumbling...? but
I'm there. I'm trying to be more active on
Twitter.
Facebook is a mixed bag, since it actively buries pages that don't pay to advertise, but of course I still have my page there. I also have a thing on
Tapas.io, where I periodically post comics, and
Itch.io, where I'll be cultivating my presence as a game dev from here on out. You can also look out for me on Reddit as /u/ZipLeQuick.
I also have a website that I should pay more attention to,
Castaway Kingdom. I do so much everywhere else, I don't really know what to do with it.
As is the case with so many creative folks who have their work spread far and wide across the internet,
I've made a page on Patreon that I intent to become the hub for all of my output going forward. I will, of course, still post my content far and wide across the internet, because the Social Media Gods demand their tribute of free content, but Patreon is where people will be able to go to really stay updated and support my work from here on out. As of now, my game is growing into a more focused and ambitious project. I'm hoping to get some sort of playable demo done by summer sometime (fingers crossed!)
Please feel free to look me up. Maybe you'll like what I'm doing.
