In just a couple of weeks, this account is going to be 16 years old. That's older than most of the crap I have to my name. I started this back when I was in my early twenties, and now middle age is creeping up on me. Yikes. For many years, I have maintained this as more of my "fine art" account, where I put my little paintings of wildlife and portrait studies and stuff. However, I have a whole other presence online that I'm far more active with, and I'd like to talk about that. I consider myself a cartoonist more than anything else. I'm following HeartBeast's great tutorial series to make a RPG, and making up my own assets as I go along. It's not impressive, but maybe someday it can be. I've only just started out, and have barely scratched the surface, but it's clear to me that so much can be done in GameMaker Studio. I haven't had this much fun making something in as long as I can remember. It's incredibly refreshing. I feel like a wizard, bringing little sprite monsters to life! Well, as of yesterday, this account has hit 15 years of existence. That's a little bit mind-boggling. I mostly lurk these days, and while this account is still active, I haven't been too active with the account, aside from occasional posts on the Art forum. I think I'm going to start posting some recent work again. If I'm making the work, I guess there's no real reason to let the gallery collect dust. So, expect that from me. It'll mostly be watercolor paintings of wildlife and landscapes, I think. Maybe an occasional pretty girl.
